I love this whole set.

I've missed your photographs. We were in RI for the last week of July and most of August. Is Napatree point even accessable during tourist season? The parking lot was always so blocked off looking and full of yucky people that we didn't try. And there's the ever present issue of poison ivy, that kept us from almost everywhere I wanted to go.

Man, I wish I'd known ya'll were around...I live five minutes away from Napatree Point! The tourists just keep getting worse and worse as the years pass, so I don't blame you for not trying. :)

Oh, shit. We spent a lot of time down near Watch Hill, and in Westerly. We went out to the lighthouse twice and did a lot of driving around, just looking at stuff. The carousel is amazing. I had never seen it before, since most of my time visiting Watch Hill when I lived in RI happened in the late autumn and winter (when the nasty people have all fled.)

We decided during the heat wave, for some idiotic reason, to drive past Misquamicut beach. *shudder* We saw this awful girl fight in the street. Booze cup flying and bag spilled out all over the street.

I'll let you know next time we're up there. The heat kind of threw me. I never did outside stuff in the summer because of all of the people...

I can't believe there's a STARBUCKS in Wakefield. That is just so wrong. And Newport Creamery is now "Newport Cafe", and they seem to have forgotten how to make a decent Awful Awful.
